One million square meter Adventure World Shirahama in Japan houses 8 giant pandas in Panda Land: Ei Mei, Rau Hin, Ai Hin, Mei Hin, Mei Hin, Ei Hin, Kai Hin and You Hin.

Poor Tan Tan in Kobe Oji Zoo is the only panda there now. Fourteen-year-old Kou Kou died in 2010 :( According to Chinese media, Kou Kou had been given an anaesthetic while vets tried to extract semen to help him breed with his partner, Tan Tan. The panda's death has added to the sense of crisis in diplomatic relations between Japan and China at the time.

The Ueno Zoo in Tokyo housed a male Chinese born panda named Ling Ling (despite being a male panda, Ling Ling's name meant "darling little girl" in Chinese) until his dead in 2008. It was the only panda owned by Japan, the rest are now on loan from China. According to Giant Panda Zoo there are currently 3 giant pandas in Ueno Zoo : Ri Ri, Shin Shin and a cub.

A pair of pandas, Chuang Chuang and Lin Hui can be visited in Chiang Mai Zoo in Thailand.

Tuan Tuan and Yuan Yuan are given by the People's Republic of China ("mainland China") to the Republic of China ("Taiwan") in 2008. The message with the names of Pandas is clear here: Tuan Yuan, means "reunion" in Chinese :) The giant pandas are being housed at Taipei Zoo and have been exhibited to the public since the 2009 Chinese New Year.

Australia
Adelaide Zoo in Adelaide South Australia is home to Australia's only Giant Pandas, Wang Wang and Funi.

Singapore
