12 Asia Pacific universities topped MBA rankings


University of Queensland, Business School in Australia topped Asia Pacific (APAC) rank and 11 other universities from the Asia-Pacific region made the top 100 in Economist's MBA rankings in 2012. Among these 4 universities are from Australia, 3 universities are from Hong Kong, 2 universities are from Singapore (Nanyang Business School of Nanyang Technological University and The NUS Business School of National University of Singapore)  and 1 university is from India,  1 from China and 1 from Korea:


The University of Queensland Business School was ranked 27, while the Melbourne Business School and the University of Hong Kong were ranked 38 and 41 respectively. The Economist suggests that as the quality of Asian universities continue to improve, students will prefer to stay home and earn their degrees. 
Nanyang Technological University and the National University of Singapore were ranked 72 and 92 respectively.[1]


On the other hand according to Asia-Pac region in the QS Global 200 Business Schools Report, Insead Singapore's MBA graduates are the most sought after by employers in Asia Pacific:

This is the third consecutive year the international French institution, whose Asia campus is located here, has topped the Asia-Pac region in the QS Global 200 Business Schools Report. The 2012 QS report is based on opinions provided by over 12,000 employers worldwide from March to July this year, and ranks 200 full-time MBA business schools across regions and specialisations.
Insead Singapore scored a 96.5 in the study's employer index, which is derived from a voting system surveying employers' preferences for schools for hiring MBA graduates.[1]

Which are the best universities in Asia? According to UK-based Times Higher Education World University Rankings list, 5 universities in Japan, 4 in Hong Kong, 3 in Chinese mainland, 3 in South Korea, 2 in Singapore and 1 in Taiwan makes the top-200 universities list of the world. According to the editor of Times Higher Education magazine, the  top-200 list represents only about 1 per cent of the world's universities, so to be in the 200 is in itself an excellent achievement".
