Scoot's new ScooTV will stream blockbuster movies and popular television shows to their your Wi-Fi devices

Singapore-based low-cost long-haul airline Scoot has announced the launch of ScooTV, Asia’s first inflight entertainment system that allows passengers to stream content to their own Wi-Fi devices!

ScootTV is developed by Gogo, a leading provider of in-flight connectivity and wireless in-flight digital entertainment solutions and features buffet of blockbuster movies and popular TV shows that guests can stream to their own laptop or tablet at their own convenience during the flight.

Said Campbell Wilson, CEO of Scoot, “Scoot is excited to be the first airline in Asia to offer this innovative inflight entertainment option. Going wireless keeps our aircraft lighter, our costs down and our fares cheaper. And better yet, ScooTV empowers our guests with even more entertainment options.”

Campbell Wilson said the airline would offer blockbuster movies and popular television shows on flights from Singapore, Sydney, Gold Coast, Bangkok, Taipei, Tokyo, Tianjin, Qingdao and Shenyang. Refreshed every second month, ScooTV currently features Black Swan, Jackie Chan’s life-risking stunts in Shinjuku Incident, to a range of TV favourites.
