On September 20-22 2013, Singapore's city center will be closed and converted to a 5 km race track for Singapore Grand Prix F1 2013 and its fans. The race is a night race for European viewers to enjoy it at a convenient time.
The event takes place in Singapore on the Marina Bay Street Circuit and was the first F1 night race and the first street circuit in Asia when it was added to the calendar of the FIA Formula One World Championship . The Singapore Grand Prix will remain on the F1 calendar through at least 2017, after race organizers signed a contract extension with Formula One Management on the eve of the 2012 event.
It’s not only cars and drivers that are a draw for the thousands of fans who will head to Singapore – some truly world-class entertainment has been planned as well. From local favorites such as Weish and The Great Spy Experiment to international acts like Waiora and Daby Toure to headline-grabbing artists like Rihanna, Tom Jones and Justin Bieber, the event will boast a major dosage of talent. In addition, a variety of parades, performances and games will make sure that there is something for everyone, even if they’re not a fan of racing!
