Andrew Chiang on bail after Taipei School threat

23 years old Taiwanese man Andrew Chiang, the grandson of Taiwan's late president Chiang Ching-kuo , the son of Chiang Ching-kuo's youngest son Chiang Hsiao-yung and brother of famous Taiwanese businessman Demos Chiang (蔣友青), is facing charges for threatening Taipei American School (TAS) and its administration:
Andrew Chiang, 23, the son of Chiang Ching-kuo's youngest son Chiang Hsiao-yung, may face charges for several comments he allegedly disseminated via Facebook and email since August stating his intention to do harm to the school and especially its administrators.
Prosecutors questioned him on Friday and tried unsuccessfully to have him detained. Walking out of the court building, a visibly agitated Chiang denied any wrongdoing and accused TAS of exaggerating his messages.
He said TAS "slandered" him and "blew his words out of proportion" after he got into an argument with the school over a sports injury he sustained while attending TAS. He claimed that his ankle was damaged because someone forced him to play while injured, without identifying the person in the incident which reportedly occurred three years ago.

Taipei American School, located in the upscale Tienmu neighborhood of Taipei, is an independent, coeducational day school for more than 2,000 students of more than 30 nationalities from Pre-K through grade 12.

According to Taiwanese media,  Chiang used his Facebook page and email to threaten to kill staff and students at the school. A former teacher said Chiang is 23 and was expelled from TAS about six years ago after getting into an altercation with a fellow student.

Andrew Chiang said his comments were related to boxing practice.
