Straits Times hacked by anonymous Singapore's the messiah

Update : Straits Times website down after hacker threat
Update : Anonymous has hacked Philippines government web sites.

Singapore newspaper Straits Times hacked by ‘The Messiah’ from Anonymous Singapore collective. It is not known whether The Messiah is an individual or a group of individuals. Straits Times hacking has happened just after the group has released (and later removed) a YouTube video in which they declared cyber war on the Singapore government if it does not stand down from an internet licensing framework that critics have said restricts freedom of speech.

The Messiah hacked into a blog article in Straits Times written by reporter Irene Tham, replacing it with a lengthy note saying that she had misrepresented Anonymous’ message while reporting on the YouTube video. It reads:

She chose to conveniently modify the sentence “war against the Singapore Government” into “war against Singapore”. That in our opinion can be very misleading and unfortunately we suspect that must have been her intentions. Look what she made us do.

Full message left by The Messiah was reported in Tech in Asia.
